Chef Emmanuel Baiden

Chef Manny's culinary journey began when he about 8 years old. Growing up in Ghana, it was uncommon to see boys in the kitchen---that was a "place for women" --- but he constantly found himself right there next to his mother. The one who taught him everything he knows about food.

Chef Manny moved from Ghana to pursue a degree in Business Management at James Madison University in Virginia in 2014. He quickly came to understand that he loved being involved in business, but his passion was deeply rooted in hospitality. Having the ability to serve people and seeing them happy was what he had always wanted to do, and cooking seemed to always be at the center of his life. This led him to reevaluate his career path and pursue a degree in hospitality. 

During this time chef Manny worked and interned with restaurants in and around the harrisonburg community. He had the opportunity to learn about the history of wine through a rigorous course in Napa Valley, California, with the opportunity to visit and tour the 3 star Michelin restaurant, French Laundry. In 2017 he landed an internship in Hospitality Management at Keswick Hall and Golf Club in Charlottesville, VA, a Five Star Forbes rated establishment. He worked all departments in the front and back of house to thoroughly understand the holistic operations of the industry. Being the entrepreneur that he is, it was only right that he took all the knowledge he had gained in the industry to pursue the private side of the culinary industry.

Now in Richmond, VA, Chef Manny is one of the go - to private chefs for events and private dinning. He has made several appearances on CBS 6's Virginia this morning segment. Outside of Richmond, chef Manny has worked with clients and partners such as Cangshan Cutlery, The Woodley, Escuminac, Ocean's Halo and more.




Let me just tell you his meals are absolutely amazing! They are healthy and all the ingredients are fresh! Since becoming Vegan it has been hard to make healthy satisfying meals but Manny has help to take the guess work out of it!! He is very accommodating and professional!! He has a lifetime customer in me!!!


Chef Manny catered a recent event that I hosted. Not only did Chef Manny customize a menu for me based on my needs and the specifics of my event, he went above and beyond and checked in with me to ensure that the menu was to my standards (which are high!). 


We hired Manny to come cook for a family birthday in our home. He was very professional, clean, and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend hiring Manny for a family event. Leave the kitchen to the chef!
